Will Trent Season 4 Episode 6 Recap
Faith talks Amanda into letting her keep dating Malcolm while wearing the camera necklace Trent gave her; Ormewood and Franklin sit in the surveillance car. On the date, Malcolm defuses a bar argument between his chef and childhood friend Winston and Clinton — who works for a security company contracted to Biosentia Pharmaceuticals.
Angie, pretending not to have overheard Seth's uncertainty about her wanting a wedding, tells him about the Biosentia investigation; he digs at the hospital and reports that Biosentia's product Evalia is rumoured to have caused at least a dozen deaths — the families' suit was dropped for lack of evidence. Amanda and Trent bring in the CEO and realize Malcolm's gang plans to blackmail the company. Meanwhile Angie recruits Franklin to plan her own surprise wedding to Seth, focusing on vows; Franklin, tailing Winston, acts gay when his cover is about to blow.
At Malcolm's house Faith finds a tactical map and captures a conversation on her necklace: Winston distrusts her, anxious about the bank-heist investigation. When she interrupts, Winston pulls his gun. A fight ensues — and Malcolm kills Winston, then leaves Faith tied up in a shed. As planned, Malcolm meets with Neville and gets the money first, then confronts Neville ready to kill him; Faith frees herself and arrives in time to talk Malcolm down, giving Neville the chance to run — straight toward the police, where Franklin arrests him.
Faith confesses her feelings are real but don't change anything: at the end of the day Malcolm is still a criminal. He surrenders, and she confesses she loves him. Earlier in the hour she had learned his motive: his son Quinton died after heart surgery, and he blames Biosentia.
The DEA confirmation lands — Neville knew about the defective drugs and ordered Wyatt to cover it up — and as the team digests it, Amanda collapses and is rushed to the hospital (nothing serious; she needs to take it easy). That night, Angie and Seth have a beautiful, moving impromptu wedding — with Franklin and a random stranger witnessing the ceremony. The next day, Trent checks in on Faith; she admits she is struggling to move on, and he assures her she will, telling her he has moved on from Angie and is happy for her. Faith asks him to stay, and they end up sharing sandwiches.
