Wednesday Season 1 Episode 4: Woe What a Night

Wednesday and Thing broke into the coroner's office and discovered that each of the monster's victims had a body part surgically removed. This detail suggests the killings follow a deliberate pattern tied to specific body parts. The discovery pushes Wednesday to investigate further, leading her to suspect Xavier and ultimately to the monster's cave, where she retrieves a claw for DNA testing.

Wednesday suspects Xavier and follows him, which leads her to discover drawings of the monster in his art studio. Those drawings point her toward the monster's cave, where she retrieves a claw for DNA testing. The episode presents her suspicion as the driving force behind her investigation, though it does not confirm whether Xavier is actually connected to the monster. Her actions show she is willing to pursue leads even against someone close to her.

Eugene stakes out the monster's cave alone and watches as a cloaked figure destroys it. The last key beat comes when Wednesday senses Eugene is in danger and heads into the forest, where she finds him gravely injured by the monster. The episode does not reveal whether Eugene survives his injuries, leaving that question open. His attack confirms the monster remains active and that Eugene is now among those harmed.

Wednesday attends the Rave'N dance with Tyler. The event is interrupted when Lucas and the townies trigger a prank that rains red paint down on the dance. Tyler is present as Wednesday's date, but the episode focuses on the disruption caused by Lucas and the attack on Eugene. The dance serves as a backdrop for several key events, including Wednesday's choice to attend with Tyler.
