FAQ

Frequently Asked Questions

Why was Wednesday Addams expelled from her high school?

Wednesday Addams was expelled after she released live piranhas on the bullies who tormented her brother Pugsley. The prank is described as lethal, and it results in her removal from the school. Her parents, Gomez and Morticia, then enroll her at Nevermore Academy, the outcast boarding school they once attended. This event sets the series in motion and establishes Wednesday's protective, vengeful streak toward anyone who harms her family.

Who is Wednesday's roommate at Nevermore Academy?

Wednesday's roommate at Nevermore Academy is Enid Sinclair, a werewolf-to-be. Enid is introduced as Wednesday's opposite: sunny where Wednesday is dark. Their pairing creates immediate friction, but it also places the two girls together for the season. Enid represents the cheerful, social side of Nevermore that Wednesday rejects, while Wednesday brings a grim, investigative energy into Enid's space.

What happens at the end of Wednesday episode 1?

At the end of the episode, Wednesday witnesses the murder of her classmate Rowan by the mysterious monster. However, the body disappears, leaving Wednesday with no evidence of what she saw. This ending leaves the murder unresolved and sets up the season's central mystery: who or what is killing people near Nevermore, and why. Wednesday is left knowing the truth but unable to prove it to anyone.

Who saves Wednesday from the falling gargoyle?

Xavier Thorpe saves Wednesday from a falling gargoyle. Xavier is introduced as Bianca Barclay's ex. The gargoyle incident is a fatal prank aimed at Wednesday, and Xavier intervenes in time to save her life. This moment establishes Xavier as a potential ally and connects him to Wednesday early in the season, even as she makes enemies of Bianca and others at Nevermore.

What is the relationship between Wednesday and Bianca Barclay?

Wednesday and Bianca Barclay are enemies at Nevermore. Bianca is introduced as the popular student, and she and Wednesday clash almost immediately. Their rivalry is personal and social, with Bianca representing the school's established hierarchy and Wednesday refusing to conform. Bianca is also Xavier Thorpe's ex, and Xavier later saves Wednesday from a falling gargoyle, adding tension to the dynamic between the three characters.
