Tracker Season 3 Episode 22: The Best Ones

The following Tracker Season 3 episode 22 recap contains plot details.

"The Best Ones" is the Season 3 finale and a culmination of the year's serialized arcs. Colter and Russell search for a victim of a nefarious research project, and the case ties together the father's mysterious work, "The Process," and the family truth. The title — "The Best Ones" — suggests the selection of subjects, perhaps for the research project.

The episode uses the Colter–Russell partnership to drive the final investigation, and the resolution exposes the truth behind the research project and the father's role. The final confrontation costs Felton and Vickers their lives. But the season's biggest twist comes at the close: Russell betrays Colter and disappears, taking with him a dark secret about their father — that the father once conducted an experiment project on Colter himself during childhood. The breach between the brothers and the father's buried experiment become the central thread leading directly into Season 4.
