Fire Country Season 3 Episode 5: Edgewater's About to Get Real Cozy

Bode and Gabriela keep sleeping together, which gives Bode hope, but when he asks to define the relationship Gabriela tells him she is not ready while she is still paying off the wedding that never happened. Diego's friends tear down the flyers for the reopening of Smokey's, and when the argument turns physical a stranger steps in and takes on three of them. The stranger introduces himself as Camden Casey, Bode's training captain for Phase Three.

An airplane bound for Los Angeles makes an emergency landing in an open field outside Edgewater. Eve calls Three Rock to the crash, and Vince brings in the cadets. Casey lets the cadets take on the dangerous tasks, and Bode saves lives at the scene and goes viral online. Jake and Bode's parents are unhappy about the risk, but Casey credits Bode for the work and tells him he once lost nine friends by following orders.

Vince sends Gabriela home early after she yells at a passenger who keeps asking about his luggage; the luggage turns out to contain flammable vintage film and catches fire. Gabriela later finds a passenger staying in her airstream, and Manny hears her say that she is living there.

Eve tries to reconnect with her brother Elijah, who tells her she is going to become an aunt. Bode tells his parents that he is moving out of their house, and Sharon learns that her heat cramps were caused by stress rather than a problem with her transplant. The episode ends with Bode using his online fame to bring customers to his father's bar.

The episode closes its crash thread: the airplane lands safely outside Edgewater, Bode works the scene under Camden Casey and goes viral, and Casey credits him for the work. Sharon learns that her heat cramps were caused by stress rather than a problem with her transplant.

What it leaves unresolved is the relationship between Bode and Gabriela. Gabriela tells Bode she is not ready, and the episode does not confirm that they will define the relationship or that they will stop. Whether Gabriela resolves her debts and housing, and whether Eve's attempt to reconnect with her family holds, is also left open.
