Sara Myers is the township's most haunted resident in From: a young woman who, in the series' earliest days, was compelled by disembodied voices to kill people she knew - beginning with Tobey at the clinic in the chaos after the crash. Rather than a villain, the show writes her as victim, weapon and witness at once, and never lets her - or the audience - settle on which. Hidden in the church basement by Father Khatri, who conceals her existence from the town, she becomes the subject of his argument that her voices may be a channel to the town's deeper intelligence rather than madness. That gamble sends her into the forest with Sheriff Boyd Stevens, further than anyone has gone, toward the lighthouse and the boy in white. Her return in Season 2 forces the reckoning she has avoided: confessing to Kenny that she killed his father, facing a town deciding whether she can be forgiven.
