Dani Acosta

Dani Acosta arrives already expecting to be in charge: a police officer whose training tells her how a crisis of this kind should be handled, and whose new reality punishes every instinct she has.

Her friction with Sheriff Boyd Stevens is the show's cleanest argument about authority - rank from a world that no longer exists versus the grim competence of a man who has kept people alive for years.
