Fire Country Season 1 Episode 14: A Fair to Remember

Gabriela practices CPR and is unhappy with the results, so Jake and Eve share with her their stories of the first person each of them lost in the field. Jake prepares for his first date with Cara. Vince prepares to appear at the annual fair as the grand marshal, and he and Sharon talk about where things are with the donor team. Rebecca hits on Bode, but he turns her down, and she is annoyed that he is still hung up on Gabriela. Bode says he is nervous about attending the fair, and during the fair someone from his high school makes a fuss. Cara and Jake talk about his dating past.

A ride at the fair malfunctions and overspeeds, and the controls fail to work. Debris starts flying everywhere and a stampede occurs. With Chief Leone absent, Manny takes charge, and the team sets up a trauma center. On seeing the injuries, Gabriela calls Cara to help and then leaves. Eve gives an order to a member of Manny's crew and the two clash.

The team learns that a child is missing and that the ride's controller is trapped and injured. The ride stops and the rescue begins, but Gabriela freezes when a patient crashes. The team learns that the child sneaked onto the ride and was thrown off when it sped up. Gabriela later tells Sharon about the source of her anxiety, and Manny and Eve make up after Eve explains that her intentions were not what he assumed.

Bode and Rebecca find the missing child, Jamie, who is suffocating from his asthma, and Gabriela saves him. Manny invites Eve to shadow him at Three Rock for a day, and Cara agrees to give Jake a second chance. Rebecca and Bode agree to remain friends, and Jake tells Sharon that the donor team has approved him for the transplant.

Source note: this account is condensed from a single Tier 2 recap (TV Fanatic) together with official episode metadata. It is a beat-level summary rather than a scene-by-scene reconstruction.

The fair rescue ends when the ride is stopped and the missing child, Jamie, is found and saved by Gabriela.

The transplant thread is advanced but not confirmed here: Jake tells Sharon that the donor team has approved him for the transplant, so the surgery itself is left for a later episode. The episode also leaves the Bode and Rebecca relationship resolved rather than open — they agree to remain friends — while Cara's decision to give Jake a second chance points toward a continuing romance.
