Reggie Franklin / A-Train

Reggie Franklin - A-Train - is the fastest man alive and The Boys' most complete study in what it costs to be a corporate superhero. As a founding member of The Seven, he spends years as the headline act of Vought's empire, until the pilot's defining tragedy: running through Hughie's girlfriend Robin Ward at super-speed, leaving Hughie holding what is left of her. That accident is the spark that lights the entire series.

His downfall is self-inflicted. Addicted to Compound V to keep his edge, A-Train's health and judgment collapse across the early seasons; his dependency is exposed, his speed degrades, and the empire he served discards him with corporate efficiency. The show then does something unexpected - it keeps him around to watch him try to earn his way back, first into the Seven's good graces, and eventually into something resembling a conscience.

His family gives the redemption arc its weight: his brother Nathan's disappointment cuts deeper than any headline, and his attempts to make amends - however compromised - put him in the rare position of a supe who has to live in the world he spent years endangering. By the final seasons, A-Train is less a villain than a test case: can the most Vought-shaped man alive become a person? The corpus tracks him from the pilot through the endgame, and his answer is the show's most hard-won.
