Character Overview
About Dylan George
Dylan George begins Severance as the most contented member of the macrodata refinement team, a man who has fully internalized Lumon's reward system and finds genuine pleasure in the trivial perks the company offers. His enthusiasm for waffle parties, melon bars, and finger trap rewards provides both comic relief and a pointed commentary on how easily compliance can be bought when the alternatives are invisible. As the season progresses and Helly's rebellion disrupts the team's equilibrium, Dylan's contentment curdles into restlessness, and he becomes a willing accomplice in the overtime contingency plan that allows the innies to glimpse the outside world. In Season 2, Dylan steps into a more active role, using his technical knowledge of the severed floor's systems to aid the team's investigation, and grappling with the revelation that his outie has a family he can never truly know. His arc traces the journey from grateful prisoner to reluctant revolutionary, fueled by the discovery that the life he was sold as complete is anything but.

Key Relationships
Dylan's closest bonds are with Mark and Helly, his teammates in macrodata refinement, with whom he shares the daily rhythms of severed work. His friendship with Mark is built on mutual respect and shared humor, while his relationship with Helly evolves from skepticism about her rebellion to active support. His antagonism with Eustice Huang, who replaces Irving in Season 2, reflects his protective instincts toward the team's original composition. His relationship with his own outie, who has a wife and children, becomes a source of pain as he realizes what severance has cost him.
